I'm going to take a look, but I also need to do this on Windows, and it looks
like this omits Windows completely for the agent...

Subject: [ossec-list] ossec puppet module...looking for testers

Hello List,

I'm in the process of a large ossec role and since I'm an avid Puppet user, and
not being satisfied with the existing modules, I've written my own and figured
I'd share and hopefully get some feedback.

The module is fairly complete and manages all aspects of an ossec server or
client/agent configuration. It requires puppet storeconfigs be enabled as it
automatically registers the clients with the server and generates keys and
populate client.keys.

It also expects the ossec package be available from an installation source
available to the OS packaging system. So on SuSE "zypper in ossec-hids
ossec-hids-server" or RHEL "yum install ossec-hids ossec-hids-client" will
install the packages. Please do not submit patches which install ossec outside
of the native packaging systems, they'll be denied.

I wont' get into all the options, see the module README for that. The readme
does need some work but it'll get people started and I'll be updating it as
time allows.

I haven't published the module to Puppet Forge yet so it can be gotten from the
github repo, link below.

Enjoy!
