You could, for example, make a local install, and then use a nagios plugin to
parse the local logs generated by ossec.

Subject: [ossec-list] how integrate ossec and nagios

hi

i finished installing nagios and I want to ossec agents on 3 Red hat servers. I
want that if there is a change in /etc/passwd in one of those servers an alert
will be send to nagios. how can I do that? I dont find manuales in the internet
which explains how to do it. I dont want to install another server just for
ossec server. i want to use the same nagios server (centos).

please advice
