Good afternoon-- I've got ossec building on a mac and now I want to start to figure out how to package it up and deploy it across a LAN and to a couple of servers that I'll be installing shortly. I'll be going to another area to learn how to create the package as this will be new territory for me.
Because of the timing of this deployment, I was planning to start each workstation with a hybrid as I won't be able to add a server for running this under later. Or, I could use one of the servers I'm putting in initially and then move the server later. I have read that agent-auth and agent-authd are used for automatically generating the necessary keys. My first question is, are there other configuration items that must run on each workstation? Second question: Has anyone done this before with Macs? I saw a number of threads having to do with Windows clients. Or, do you have a good resource of someone else's efforts to do this.
