If it hasn’t changed since I last looked at this, in the client.keys – on Win7
x64 that’s in C:\Program Files (x86)\ossec-agent

Subject: [ossec-list] Windows Automation

Hello,

We're working on getting ossec installer automated on Windows using Puppet. It
was realized (thanks to this list and a keen eyed co-worker) that the keys in
client.keys are not what are needed by the installer but instead you must use
"Extract Keys" from the manage_agents directive on the manager. What we have
now is the server is getting a list of Windows hostnames and IPs, add this info
via manage_agents and incrementing the agent id after each iteration. This is
nice for the manager side and automating the key extraction is easy enough,
however, adding this key to Windows is a bit trickier.
So my question is, where does this, extract key get stored on the Windows agent?

Any help is much appreciated. Thank you,

Matt
