Ive had ~1000 agents connected to a single ossec server for the past 18 months. About ~2 months ago agents started dropping like flies.
I noticed many lines in the client.keys on the server have been replaced with #*#*#*#*#*#*#. I believe this is why my agents are not talking to the server, BUT how can I remedy ~500 agents? Shall I recreate / make new Agents? I'm tempted with trashing the client.keys and recreating all entries. I don't have a backup that doesn't seem to have the #*#*# in it. Thoughts? Thank you for your assistance with this matter. -J -- ============================================= THIS ELECTRONIC MAIL MESSAGE AND ANY ATTACHED FILES CONTAIN INFORMATION INTENDED FOR THE EXCLUSIVE USE OF THE INDIVIDUAL OR ENTITY TO WHOM IT IS ADDRESSED AND MAY CONTAIN INFORMATION THAT IS PROPRIETARY, PRIVILEGED, CONFIDENTIAL AND/OR EXEMPT FROM DISCLOSURE UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.
