OSSEC 3.0 will be formally released at the OSSEC Conference near Washington, DC on April 5, 2018. The conference will be an opportunity to review the 3.0 update, for users to share some case study lessons learned, go deep in a few areas and generally to gather the OSSEC community together. There will be a cocktail reception after the conference for some socializing and it will be during the Cherry Blossom time in DC in case the family wants to join you.
OSSEC project manager Scott Shinn will host the event and run the 3.0 introduction session. Friday the 6th will also include a 3-hour OSSEC in-depth training session for the more technically oriented.
