I happen to know about it. I am guessing that Fedora 29 comes with QEMU 3.0.0 which has following bug (probably same) - https://bugs.launchpad.net/qemu/+bug/1795148 - that has been fixed in the master - https://github.com/qemu/qemu/commit/db812c4073c77 - but will probably be part of the next 3.0.5 release :-(
