An interesting and very informative paper about OSv by Vinicius Fraga - https://repositorio.ufpe.br/bitstream/123456789/35372/1/DISSERTA%c3%87%c3%83O%20Vin%c3%adcius%20Matos%20da%20Silveira%20Fraga.pdf .
One of the observations the author makes is that OSv consumes lots of memory comparing to the containers. I think it is to a great extent caused by the lack of support of "lazy"/on-demand application stacks - https://github.com/cloudius-systems/osv/issues/143. I sent the patch addressing it at the beginning of the year and needs a review - https://groups.google.com/g/osv-dev/c/tZnwiScmjZY/m/GkY0hV9EAwAJ - but I am not sure if it still applies.
