I agree. The way politics works makes it impossible for someone to say.. "I got that wrong" without the other side hammering them. It makes pol's scared to death to say anything with substance and *never* admit they were wrong.

That's really a sad state of affairs when it comes actually running a country.

I don't know about you all, but I get shit wrong all the time. I usually deal with it by saying "boss, I screwed that up, but here is how I'm going to fix it"

I'm sure as hell not above adopting someone else's approach if it's working and giving them credit for it since the bottom line is that I need to support my department and actually get stuff done..

I guess I could never be elected..
