yeah, after emailing and then deleting the Bootcamp partition .. I noticed a screenshot I took via my iPhone that showed "Drive Options" .. so I recreated the partition ... reformatted the drive, but then was told I needed a minimum of 14G for the install. I then recreated a Bootcamp partition of 32Gig - I started the install , reformatted .. I was notified that the recommended free space was 40Gig ( why didn't it tell me that when it told me the minimum requirements ? ) anyway, I proceeded with the 32 Gig install thinking I would do a custom install of the bare minimum features. I walked away came back to my Dual Quad with an alert saying "Windows cannot install the required files. The file may be corrupt or missing. Make sure all files required for installation are available, and restart the installation. Error code: 0x80070017" I have no personal use for Windows .. so I think I'm not going to bother with it. I just wanted to demonstrate Bootcamp and VMWare Fusion to my friend. > > > Also, read these: > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1656 thanks K > > > -- > Jared Earle - [email protected] > http://jearle.eu/ - http://blog.23x.net/ > "Cerebus doesn't want your money, he wants your SPORK" > > _______________________________________________ > OSX-Nutters mailing list | [email protected] > http://lists.tit-wank.com/mailman/listinfo/osx-nutters > List hosted at http://cat5.org/ http://www.kevincallahan.org/ http://www.kevincallahan.org/software/accessorizer.html http://www.xeniamara.com/ _______________________________________________ OSX-Nutters mailing list | [email protected] http://lists.tit-wank.com/mailman/listinfo/osx-nutters List hosted at http://cat5.org/
