This is one instance where I think the lefties should just maintain  
their cool a bit more. The man is speaking at a purely ceremonial  
function. His giving the invocation has no policy implications and  
I'll bet he makes it bland and generic. Obama has enough controversial  
preachers.

Joe Lowery, a preacher prominent for his support of gay marriage, is  
giving the  benediction and you don't see the fundies throwing a hissy  
over that which is somewhat remarkable in itself. it's weird to see  
the religious right being the relatively calm side.

Obama has said that Warren is a person friend with whom he disagrees  
on several issues.  I don't understand how anyone can treat this as  
substantive.
