I guess I'm talking about the cases where they want to help but you  
know, perhaps they don't really know how. See we all have egos, and  
for some people, the desire to be helpful and write "I am a helpful  
person who is helping the world" into their personal life story and  
into their self image is actually the driving concern. If in the end  
they didn't actually manage to help, or perhaps even made things  
worse, then they just skip over that part. Like, it seems, those  
charity workers. "But we're trying!!" Great, do it with someone else's  
money--oh wait, you do. So I fault them for failing. It doesn't have  
to be monumentally stupid, or mildly stupid. I just fault the failure.  
That charity has all the money and people and effort invested in  
helping, but they don't collect any stats about their success rate.  
Now why would that be?
