Thanks. Compilation worked up to 90% then failed giving the following error 
message:

/usr/bin/ld:

undefined reference to symbol 'inflateInit2_'
/usr/bin/ld: note: 'inflateInit2_' is defined in DSO 
/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libz.so.1 so try adding it to the linker command line
/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libz.so.1: could not read symbols: Invalid operation
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
make[2]: *** [bin/otbApplicationLauncherCommandLine] Error 1

Error 2

Could you help me with that?
