After three months I still have not installed Monteverdi2 . I cannot
uninstall previous attempts

christopher@christopher-desktop:~$ sudo touch /usr/bin/monteverdi2

Whenever I tyry to do anything, for example upgrading Java, I get the same
message about Monteverdi, and cannot complete the operation. I get Ubuntu
error messages every 15 minutes or so. This is driving me crazy. I am
tempted to move away from Ubuntu and back to my old Windows laptop, where
everythiung, including Monteverdi2, works fine.
