Sorry, I'm really confused. Maybe it helps if O list my questions:

1) I set the PYTHONPATH and ITK PATH in the windows system variables. 
Trying to import otbApplication into my script I still get an error 
message. I don't understand how i can set the PATH and replicate the shell 
environment in my .py FIle? I checked the shell .bat file and understand 
the path is set to the /../bin and launches then all .bat files. But how 
can I replicate that?

2) I have python installed separately on my computer. The otb scripts I ran 
with the OSGEO4Ws Python as I always launched it from the shell. Can I then 
also use modules which are not related to OSGEO4W? I want to integrate the 
otbApplication into a File which also includes other processing steps.
