Dear Conrad,
It is absolutely normal to have no executable : all applications are
plugins loaded by the application lauchers (command line or qt or python).
When you call the launcher with a given application name (what is done
within the otbcli_* scripts), the launcher instanciates all applications
plugins, looking for the one corresponding to the application name. In
your case, while doing this it ran accross a ill-formed application and
crashes. Maybe we can add more guards here, but it is likely that you
have in your application path an old application or a custom application
that is not well designed. Can you remove all
otbapp_*.dylib and do a fresh make install ?

I'm running it on Mac OSX (Mavericks). What I find strange is that in
the /bin directory, there is an otbapp_ReadImageInfo.dylib file but no
executable ReadImageInfo. There are no errors when building either.
