thanks for the report.

Is it possible for you  to submit a bug on Mantis? -> Looking at the
code of the application I see also other point that could be improved
regarding anisotropic diffusion filtering in the application. It would
be easier to investigate.

I am not sure to understand in your mail the value for time step. I
don't think that it could/should be negative.
