Hi, I am trying to compute the triangular and elliptical fit (triangularity and ellipticity) of vector polygons or image regions. Can the connected components segmentation or any other OTB module be used for this? My math background is limited.
That could be based, for example, on the area of the largest triangle enclosed by the convex hull and on both this and the maximum area enclosed rectangle (for ellipticity), following: Jorge, J.
