Fine registration outputs a 3-bands "image" with, respectively,
x-shift, y-shift and metric values.

Regarding the metric values, is this the best metric value that has
been found among all
the exploration shifts defined by the exploration radii erx and ery?
Or is it the initial metric between the input image and the reference image?

Regarding the first 2 bands, are they the shifts of the input image
vs. the reference image or the shifts that would have to be applied to
the input image to match the reference image?

The manual just states "Output image contain x offset, y offset and
metric value. " which is clearly not sufficient.

Thanks!

Agus
