You're right  that the superbuild will help to overcome configuration
issue like this. No reason why it should not work on CentOS.

However, an other issue that I can see in the Abdelilah's log below is
that you're trying to compile OTB with gdal 2.0.0 and unfortunately OTB
is not compatible yet with this version of gdal (last release supported
is 1.11.2).
