Hi Simon,
did you check the "checkbox" above in the GUI "Load otb application from
xml file" after loading the XML file?
It should update the GUI and fill all parameters read in the XML file.

When I use the otbcli module, I can use "-inxml example.xml" to tailor
the predefined settings to my needs.
I also want to do this for the otbGUI applications.
For example:
starting the application with:
otbgui ComputeImagesStatistics -inxml example.xml
Reads and loads the parameters from example.xml into the appropriate GUI
fields.
When I am trying to execute the line above, the GUI starts but I think
the "-inxml" argument will be ignored.
Is there another way to do that?
(Beside manually load the information via the inxml field at the end of
the GUI.)
