Hello Ernesto, Can you try this package for OSX ?
https://www.orfeo-toolbox.org/packages/nightly/2016-04-20/OTB-5.4.0-Darwin64.run It was generated on osx 10.10.2. But I hope it should work because we don't rely on dmg among other stuff in osx.
