Hi Arthur, At the moment, the temporary files are stored on disk but removed at the end of processing (option "cleaning") In order to connect "in-memory" the different applications used (PolygonClassStatistics, SampleSelection, ...), OTB would need significant development on the OGRDataSource wrappers (at least 1 or 2 releases time). It is possible to change the default directory, this could be integrated for next release.
