Dear all, I've finished to write the RFComments which consists in changing the OTB license from CeCILL v2 to Apache v2.
Discussion about changing the license was initiated in 2015 and now all checks have been done to actually complete the change. As explained in the RFComments, changing the license will provide a better contribution management for OTB and is also part of the initiative to make the project governance more open to any potential contributors following the establishment of the steering committee in March 2015. Note also that changing the license of the core library does not change procedures or involve any constraints about contributions of remote modules for instance. OTB may continue to be compiled with dependencies (third part or modules) with different licenses.
