Hello all, Now that there is a new release of visual studio 2017 with a lot of bug fixes and other stuff. We might consider supporting it in OTB. By support, I mean making OTB packages with it.
I am not fully aware of release schedule of OTB and not therefore not suggesting an immediate move in compiler version. But it must be done in very near future. Unlike unix and unix-like platforms we support, windows packages (xdk and binary) work only on a specific version of visual c++ (2015 for now). IMHO, Moving to 2017 won't be bad idea.. Also note that OTB can be compiled with visual c++ 2015 or 2013. Just that packages are always on recent version. I know the above statement is contrary to the linux situation we have. But that is another ball game. -- -- Check the OTB FAQ at http://www.orfeo-toolbox.org/FAQ.html You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "otb-users" group.
