Hi Nouha, it can be indeed tricky to find the best parameters. What you should have in mind:
- spatial radius: a higher value will lead to a stronger smoothing and will also take more time. - range radius is the spectral radius which means how pixels in the spatial radius and with close radiometry values will be averaged. A higher value will increase the smoothing effect Note that with the LSMS segmentation framework those parameters are related to the smoothing app (first step) which will have impact the segmentation results but there is the Small region merging step which can allows you to filter regions/clusters (see this step as a postprocessing). an other option is to perform spatial reasoning at the end and filter/merge some regions based on radiometric criteria for instance.
