Sarah-Jane-
I work in home health care in the US. Some of my clients have dementia,
but it is not the primary diagnosis. My main focus is usually to help the
client do as much self care as possible and, if there is a caregiver to train
the caregiver in promoting independence, and in safety for both the client
and the caregiver (often the caregiver is elderly) I can't tell if the
setting you are talking about is one in which the clients remain in their own
homes, or they are moving into some kind of residence with help available,
but I would love to talk more about it. -- Jody
