My favourite reference book for biomechanics is:

Muscles, Nerves and Movement. Barbara Tyldesley TDipCOT MEd, June I.
Grieve BSc MSc. Paperback - 360 pages 2nd Ed (July 1996) Blackwell
Science (UK); ISBN: 0632040963

It's a good, basic reference guide to joints, muscles and movement --
easy to use and understand.

Cheers
