Good to hear from all of you. I have 10 different schools that I travel to. Some of the kids I see one-on-one, some are consultation and with some I do sensory motor groups with anywhere between 2 to 11 kids. I do sensory motor groups with the severe cognitively impaired classes. Those kids already have computer time as part of their class, so I haven't been too involved with them and computers. Can anyone give me some treatment approaches and ideas to use with severely cognitively impaired kids??
I am currently working to get some adapted keyboards for some of my CP kids, but since I haven't gotten the computers, I haven't really had an opportunity to work with them yet. We don't really have any "OT rooms", it's just make do with wherever you can find a relatively quiet spot. For groups I try to get the gym, but I often get bumped when the schools have any type of assembly. I have a question about visual tracking. I have a little guy with CP who has significant ocular motor control problems and very poor attention. Does anyone have any treatment ideas? Vision therapy has already been recommended, but has not yet happened. I am not experienced with this type of vision problems. Thanks, Marcia ******************** Unsubscribe?
