Are there any OT consultants working for the school system? For one of my OT assignments, I have to develop a program plan utilizing the services provided by an OT. I chose a plan that would involve working with the students and faculty to improve the physical environment of the school, including painting, rearranging furniture, etc. What is the role of the OT in this kind of setting? As OTs, we know how important the environment is to a person's well-being. How is this idea translated to the school board so that improvements can be made to the school building? How much influence does the OT have in creating an improved learning environment for the students?
