Jill- Our situation in the US is so different that it is hard to know what kind of advice to offer.  I have noticed that people who think they are entitled to something can be demanding.  I know one of the other OTs on this list who is fromn the UK said they cannot use hand held showers because of the fact that there is no thermostat device within the shower and it is considered a risk for burns.  Are you permitted to install hand held showers?  I wonder if that would make the bathboard more accaptable.  I actually put these in myself, in both tubs with a shower in the tub stall, and the kind that is only made for a bath.  I have done this in our public housing here, but I can tell your situation is very different.  -- Jody
