I've heard nothing in regard to changes in legislation, reimbursement or educational programs related to this." This is not a new concept!! I graduated over two years ago from a University where you can complete a dual degree OT/PT program in three years receiving a Master of Physical Therapy and Master of Occupational Therapy degrees. We talked quite about the merging of the two professions as a "rehabilitation therapist." Our discussions were not in support or against just the advantages and disadvantages. I believe that if there was a merging of the professions our consumers/patients would be the ones to suffer and actually receive less skilled intervention because only one discipline would most likely be reimbursed (why pay for both when one person can do it all idea). *********��*********** Unsubscribe?
