Ron, I believe that PURPOSEFUL pertains to an activity that has a "purpose" behind it, such as cooking, washing dishing, and getting dressed. I guess you could say ADLs since these are things most of do everyday to function as independent individuals. I look at "MEANINGFUL" as a task or hobby that a person enjoys. And many ADLs can also be considered meaningful to some people. Hopefully this makes since, but I believe it is like many other things in OT, it is all in how you perceive it.
