Can a COTA be a manager of a Rehab Department? What if they have a Bachelors or masters degree with a major in something besides therapy, for example, business? My old boss said that JCAHO has rules against assistants managing rehab departments, but my new boss is a PTA, in a JCAHO acr. facility. Anybody have any insight?
