As a former Area Manager, I can tell you one way to help efficiency, WRITE YOUR NOTES WHILE YOU ARE WORKING WITH THE PATIENT, while the patient is resting between tasks, or immediately after seeing the patient. That was the biggest problem that we had when therapists let the notes go until the end of the week and then spend several hours writing notes. I know it can be done, because I've done it.

situation with productivity. I found out I am not alone and 90 percent is
actually more common then I thought in a skilled nursing facility. A few
people told me they had to be 100 percent... I don't understand why the
therapist should not get paid for paper work or if the patient refuses
treatment. WE still attempted and documented!! Anyway, I would like to hear
some suggustions for time management in a SNF with high productivity
standards.
