The general principles made sense to me but I use an Apple iMac with Apple Mail, so the method is different. The method on Apple Mail (OS X) is:

Choose "Mailbox" - "New Mailbox" [call it OT-list or something]
Now go Mail/Preferences/Rules/Add Rule [call it OT-list or something]
Now set the options so that:
if any recipient contains [EMAIL PROTECTED] transfer message to mailbox: OT-list

Apple Mail's in-built junk filter almost eradicates spam (about 90% effective), so everything ends up very neat and tidy.

I'd like to learn how to use a sep. folder.

OK - here goes, for Outlook Express: (I have a Danish version, so I may not be precise about what some of the options are called, sorry):

Go to the row in top with the drop-down lists, choose:
"Tools" -> "message rules" (may be "preferences" or "options"
in other versions) -> "mail" -> add new rule ("new") -> tag in
first window: "where the subject line contains certain words",
tag in second window -> "move to this folder".

Now you only need to choose the word and name the
folder - you do that in the last window on that same
page: Doubbleclick on those 2 highlighted words (think
they will be "word/phrase" and "folder") one by one and
add [OTlist] and a folder named e.g. "OT-now" (if you
have one for the ot-list posts already, just choose that
one). Say yes to save your settings - and from now on
your otlist posts should go directly into the folder you
chose - not showing up in your "incomming mail box"
at all. In OE a blue number on the folder list will show
when there are new (unopened) mails in that folder, so
you woun't forget about them!

Hope this made sense - or else someone with an English
version of OE will have to help me out!

Best wishes!
