Hi:

My advice is to refer her to someone with hand therapy
experience. They can further evaluate the type of
tendonitis and guidelines to follow. Or you can find
a local OTR with experience to mentor you as well as
attend continuing education. Tendonitis is a global
term and more specifics are needed. Good luck.
