Here it's like this ( - and I'm using Windows and Outlook Express): Not all posts show up with an attachment - but a lot. I just checked the differences through the headers, and those posts _without_ are posts in plain text - while those _with_ an attachment are - hold it now, LOL - also in plain text but with an attachment of the same text in HTML-format (or enriched text format for you Mike:)
My guess is the list server doesn't handle HTML messages directly, but instead filters the HTML-stuff into a seperate file and hides it in an attachment. Strange thing, though, is that a few people seem to sometimes post with, sometimes without attachment (that's e.g. Mike and Incandescent). I'm guessing this is because you have your email proggies set up to reply in same format as the recieved post? I sure hope you can find a way for us to get rid of those attachments, Ron - they do take up extra space, and also I'm usually doubble checking posts with attachments as this could be a sign of viruses (yeah, I do have antivirus software, but still.....)
