Hi Angie

I wrote the Canadian exam (many years ago now) when I came to live here from
South Africa. I had been out of school for 4 years and therefore had to try
to review the work for the areas that I had not been practising in. I found
it to be a very fair exam and felt at the time that, had I just completed my
finals at university, I would not have had to do any extra work. You do
have to know your stuff but if you use common sense about how you would
approach the situation given if you were faced with it in real life you
would be fine. There is no focus on one specific area but rather a review
of everything. I think there may be more information about the exam now -
I can ask at the local university if you don't hear back from anyone else.

Good luck - Canada is a wonderful country to live in and to work in.

Sue

Subject: [OTnow] OT Exam in canada

Hi

I am currently a third year OT student in England, with only a five months
left to sit my exam. After been certified in England i am then hoping to
pursue a future in Canada. I am aware that i have to sit the CAOT exam. I
would strongly appreciate any OT's out there that has sat this paper to give
me some idea of what it is like or even share any pass papers they may have.

If any one can help I will give my personal email address in response to
this information.

Thanks

Angie
