Hi
We used a ceiling hook, sash cord and a single swivel pulley with
handles from 1/2 inch PVC pipe cut about 4 and 3/4 inches long. The
swivel pulley is important as it allows for free movement. The ends of
the cord are threaded through the pipe and tied in a loop to make a
triangular shaped handle. (Hard to describe, take lots of rope, hold the
tail end to the part above the pipe, make a loop and the pipe goes
through it). Client can sit or stand below the pulley and the ends are
easy to adjust for different people and/or positions.
We made this years ago after my husband had a shoulder injury. I've
repeated it for clients and am currently using it myself as I recover
from a nasty shoulder fracture.
