As sister professions, PT and OT are each taught to perform complete discipline-specific evaluations. Unfortunately, function knows no discipline. Insurance companies are no longer interested in range of motion, they want to know how a person functions independent of their impairments. Therefore, it's imperative that we are all well versed in the use of the most widely accepted functional assessment measures.
