Hi all, I have a new first grade student who I need some help with. Mom reports that he will only eat one type of sandwich for lunch. He does not eat breakfast and picks very little at his dinner. He eats dry cereal and chicken nuggets as the majority of his diet. He will vomit at the site or smell of bananas. He has been through the desensitization stuff through EI and mom reports he tolerated all of that but did not have any real improvements. He will brush his teeth or will at least do a "try it bite" of foods presented to him. He has been to several EENTs and they do not report any concerns. When I talk to her, it sounds more olfactory to me, but this isn't an area I have much experience with..... I am writing here in hopes of someone having a similar situation and can maybe point me toward some good resources to help this little guy?? The rest of his oral motor functioning is good with only minor difficulties with jaw movements which barely impact his speech. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
