I work in a NICU setting in Florida. The majority of our babies are premature and spend weeks to months in the hospital. Once they are discharged it takes about three months before early intervention gets involved with their case ( I have been told this by the case manager/EI liason). After that it can be several days to weeks before the infant is actually seen by any therapist. This is crazy! Shouldn't someone from EI be working with the NICU staff to begin services immediately after discharge? Amy -- Unsubscribe? [EMAIL PROTECTED]
