To everyone, So far I have only read the email conversations but have not actively participated in any of the discussions. I am not an OT, I am a staffing consultant that places OT candidates and my reason for joining this mailing list was to gain insight into the profession and the people that I would be working with since I am new to this profession. I hope that although I cannot relate on a peer-to-peer level with each of you, that you will allow me to continue to peek inside your world, if that is alright with everyone?
FYI...I agree that the only way to ensure positive change is to actively take positive action so you should participate in your local and national associations to affect the changes that you feel will improve your working conditions and standing in the community.
