For one, I don't like the backpack awareness initiative. I don't think
it  does much for our profession. Of course, I work in geriatrics so I
am  a little bit biased. I also think that the safe driving initiative
is  misdirected because insurance doesn't pay for driving evaluations.
I  like  the  low-vision  initiative.  I  wish  AOTA would take a MUCH
stronger  stand  about  getting  OT's to be able to open a home health
episode  of  care.  Not  being  able  to open HH is such a slap in our
professional  face.  I also don't agree with the certification program
because   I  believe  they  should  offer  advanced  certification  in
occupation.

I appreciate what you've written about why OT is amazing, but honestly
most  of what I read has very little to do with OT and more to do with
you.  Also, in my opinion, much of what you wrote is not about service
delivery  in  the  sense  of  only  OT  can do this. Yes, we have very
diverse work settings and I see what you mean about this being unique,
but I'm not really sure how that equates to being unique with OT.
