I saw a report on a seniors' program of a study in Montreal that compared Tango classes with a conventional balance improvement program. The dancers showed greater improvement overall for equivalent time spent. It was not clear if it was a double blind study although the control group was matched. Silly me didn't go right after the reference so now I can't even remember what date or program it was. At the Allen Symposium we had an excellent presentation by an OT educator who is also a Taiji instructor on adapting Taiji to cognitive disability. We looked at the cognitive demands of various forms and movements. Fascinating stuff.
