The extension lasts until January 1, 2008. This victory is the result of a great deal of hard work on the part of members and staff of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), and consumers. The cap provision was included in H.R. 6111, the Tax Relief and Health Care Act of 2006. AOTA staff is currently preparing a full analysis of the legislation, which will be available soon. Many thanks to all those who worked so hard on this important issue.
