I participated in an Oxford insurance study to determine the necessity
of preventive services i.e. DME, energy conservation, home safety
provided by an OT. All therapists billed Medicare using the red and
white forms. Since the clients had standing orders from the MD's it was
not very complicated. I was reimbursed and there was no co-pay.

Subject: [OTlist] Medicare

Does anyone on the list have the wonderful experience of billing
Medicare directly? This is something that I have been doing lately since
I have just recently left a hospital position and begun an adventure as
an independent contractor. I would love to hear anyone's experiences. I
feel like I'm climbing a serious uphill trek.
