If you would like to conduct a study we could send this question to
various orthopedists and find out how they make referrals? This might
determine yet another area where we need to promote the profession
better.

Ah,  but  this  is NOT a CHT question. <smile>. Being a CHT is sort of
independent of being an OT. I agree with you about it being a "tricky"
