Here is the link to the COPM 4th edition published in 2005 http://www.caot.ca/copm/index.htm It includes ordering info (takes you to the CAOT site and you need to search from there, as with AOTA, members get a price break which is not apparent until you are in the member's area) description, references and a long list of questions and answers. The tool itself has proven to be robust. The changes in the new editions are mainly additions to the research component which is strong on the web site. My opinion is that if you have an old edition you should continue to use it. I have the 3rd edition which I ordered because my original one was falling apart and there were no changes in clinical application. There are good support materials available - self study DVD and a workbook which I have not seen. This is a subjective, individual measure. The questions and the use of a concrete, physical measuring rule, to provide visual as well as auditory input to the concept of a scale, are extremely effective in eliciting client perceptions. The apparently simple language of the questions is so good that I find myself using it in many interchanges in my life. Joan
